Ferrari Expo

Two great ‘table shows’ in the Chicago area this weekend:

Saturday, it’s the 39th Annual Ferrari Literature, Art and Model Expo at Continental Auto Sports, 430 E. Ogden in Hinsdale from 9am until 3pm. I’ll be there with a selection of artwork, books, models and other Ferrari related items. Admission is free and there are always a great selection of incredible cars in Continental’s showroom and service area. Not to be missed!

On Sunday, the ‘1st Annual Chicagoland Racing Memorabilia and Collectibles Show’ will be held at the Will County Fairgrounds in Peotone, Illinois from 10am until 3pm. The “Peotone Show’ returns with new promoters after a short absence, renewing a 30+ year traditional Spring event dedicated to preserving the legacy of short track racing in the Chicago area.  Admission is $7.00. More information HERE.

All this and the launch of the 2017 Formula One season in Australia!

Have a great weekend.

Bruce McLaren: From the Cockpit

Originally published in 1964, Bruce McLaren’s autobiography ‘From the Cockpit’ is a classic motor racing memoir. So scarce and expensive are original copies that Evro Publishing, in collaboration with McLaren, is reissuing a facsimile version for all fans to enjoy. In his own words, Bruce describes his inspiring climb up the ladder of motor racing success, culminating in the inception of Bruce McLaren Motor Racing Ltd in 1963. Engaging to read, his book provides fascinating insight into not only his accomplishments but also his unique character, charm and tenacity. In his own words, “Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone.”
