The 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans will go down in history in more ways than one; in particular because of the fact that it was the Super Final of the World Endurance Championship 2018-2019 season. Toyota, Signatech Alpine, Ferrari-AF Corse and Porsche Team Project 1 emerged victorious in the LMP1, LMP2, GTEPro and GTEAm, respectively, while the magic trio comprising Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima scored their second consecutive success in the Sarth in an event in which their teammates looked on course for the win for a long time. With a record entry of 62 cars, famous manufacturers and drivers, the race once again sprang its lot of surprises and was the stuff of dreams for the 252,500 spectators who attended.
