1/18 scale diecast replica from Acme Trading Company - Masterpiece Collection

Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 was arguably the most important event in Ford Motor Company's illustrious racing history. The Company's Le Mans program in the 1960s was the culmination of the now famous dispute between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari when Ford had tried to purchase Ferrari only to have Enzo walk away from the table at the last minute.

The Deuce vowed to get even - and what better way than to topple Ferrari’s domination of the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

A new race car was commissioned and after 2 unsuccessful attempts at a Le Mans victory, Ford assembled a formidable effort in 1966 led by Carroll Shelby. The driver lineup contained many of the greatest drivers in racing history, including Dan Gurney,  AJ Foyt, Ken Miles, Lloyd Ruby,  Denis Hulme, Mario Andretti, Mark Donohue, Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. The result was the first of four consecutive victories in the world’s greatest endurance race.

Acme Trading Company has resurrected the tooling from GMP’s highly collectible 1/12 scale Ford GT Mk II and will produce a limited run (expected to be 350 pieces) of the 1966 Le Mans winner for delivery in the Spring of 2018.
